How to use Benzydamine Mouthwash

Use the supplied measuring cup. Rinse or gargle as shown below, then spit the liquid out; do not swallow it.

AgeDose
Aged 12 and underDo not use this rinse. Ask a pharmacist whether Benzydamine spray is suitable instead.
Adults and children over 12Measure 15ml, rinse or gargle for 20–30 seconds, then spit out. Repeat every 1.5–3 hours if needed.

Do not swallow the rinse.
Avoid contact with the eyes.
Do not use for more than 7 days in a row, unless advised by a doctor.

Seek advice if symptoms worsen or do not improve. Check with a pharmacist first if you have asthma or an aspirin or NSAID allergy. During pregnancy, use only if your doctor considers it necessary, at the lowest dose for the shortest time. Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use while breastfeeding.

If it stings, you can dilute the measured mouthwash with water. Wash the measuring cup after each use.
