Daniel Higham grew up in Salford, supporting Manchester United which is very controversial now he works in Merseyside! He graduated from UCLAN in 2016 with a Masters of Pharmacy (MPharm) and started working as a pre-reg pharmacist in Rochdale, Greater Manchester. After learning new skills and making life-long friends with the owners, Dan decided to pursue a career in owning his own pharmacy.

He made the move up to Whitehaven, Cumbria, to learn all there was to know about managing a pharmacy and after 4 years he then moved to a tiny studio apartment in Liverpool to move in with his girlfriend Jess. After 12 months of locumming around Merseyside, he finally acheieved his ambition of owning his own pharmacy and took over Hightown Pharmacy.

In his spare time, Dan enjoys coding and through this he noticed a trend of people pursuing private online prescription services. It was then he decided he would take the pharmacy online. After 8 months, a shipping order of coffee and 50,000 lines of code, Dan had completed the website you see today. By midday it had its first order which we excitedly put together and delivered to the post office with a hand written label, since we didn't even have a label printer! As word spread, our customer base grew and so did the orders, but we still kept our close connection to our customers and we are always just a phone call or an email away. Every year at Christmas, we recieve a mountain of biscuits and from our happy customers.

We hope to keep growing the pharmacy, delivering excellent service and value for money and a personal experience across Merseyside and beyond!
