What is Oilatum Junior Bath Additive?

Oilatum Junior Bath Additive is a moisturising bath treatment specially designed for children and babies with dry or eczema-prone skin. It forms an emollient film over the skin to soothe irritation, reduce itching, and protect against moisture loss. This soap-free formula is suitable for daily use and can be used from birth. It cleanses without drying and helps calm flare-ups of eczema, dermatitis, or dry skin conditions.

How does it work?

Oilatum Junior Bath Additive contains light liquid paraffin, which acts as an emollient by forming a protective layer on the skin. This layer helps trap moisture, reduce dryness, and shield sensitive skin from irritants in bathwater. Unlike regular soaps and bubble baths, it doesn’t strip away natural oils, making it ideal for dry, itchy skin. It gently cleanses while leaving the skin hydrated and comforted.

How to use Oilatum Junior Bath Additive

  • Add ½ to 2 capfuls to a warm bath (depending on age and bath size)
  • Swirl the water to mix — do not use with soaps or bubble bath
  • Soak for 10-20 minutes, then gently pat the skin dry (do not rub)
  • Use daily or as often as recommended by your healthcare provider
  • Take care as bath surfaces may become slippery

Who can use it?

Oilatum Junior Bath Additive is suitable for babies, toddlers, and children of all ages. It can also be used by adults with sensitive or eczema-prone skin. It is particularly helpful for children with dry skin flare-ups, nappy rash, or eczema. Safe to use from birth, but always consult a healthcare professional if unsure.

Warnings and precautions

  • For external use only
  • Do not use on broken or infected skin without medical advice
  • Rinse the bath thoroughly after use to prevent residue build-up
  • Take extra care when lifting children out of the bath to avoid slipping
  • Keep away from open flames — contains paraffin which is flammable
