How it works

Anusol HC ointment contains four active ingredients:
Zinc oxide is an astringent and mild antiseptic.
Balsam Peru has a very mild antiseptic that protects sore areas and may promote healing in the area.
Benzyl benzoate has mild antiseptic and preservative properties.
Bismuth Subgallate & Bismuth Oxide is weakly astringent with antiseptic properties.
Hydrocortisone is a corticosteroid and will help reduce inflammation in the area.
The combination of these ingredients prevent bacterial growth and shrink and constrict the piles.
