What is Calpol Infant?
Calpol Infant is an oral suspension containing paracetamol, designed to relieve pain and reduce fever in children aged 6 years and over.
What is Calpol Infant used for?
Calpol Infant provides effective relief from mild to moderate pain and fever in children. It is used to treat symptoms such as:
- Headaches
- Sore throats
- Toothache
- Fever
- Post-immunisation fever
- Cold & flu symptoms
- Earache
How to use Calpol Infant
Shake the bottle before use and use the syringe provided. The usual doses are:

| Below 2 months | Not suitable for use, please contact your doctor for treatment. |
| 2 - 3 months | 2.5ml - If necessary, after 4-6 hours, give a second dose |
| 3 - 6 months | 2.5ml up to 4 times a day |
| 6 - 24 months | 5ml up to 4 times a day |
| 2 - 4 years | 7.5ml (5ml + 2.5ml) up to 4 times a day |
| 4 - 6 years | 10ml (5ml + 5ml) up to 4 times a day |
Only give if your baby weighs over 4kg and was born after 37 weeks.
Do not give more than 2 doses to those aged 2-3 months. If you child is still ill after 2 doses, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.
Do not give more than 4 doses in any 24 hour period.
Leave at least 4 hours between doses.
Do not give this medicine to your child for more than 3 days without speaking to your doctor or pharmacist.

Calpol Infant ingredients
Active ingredient:Paracetamol 120mg in 5ml.
Other ingredients: Malititol, sodium benzyl alcohol, E1520, E420, E214, E216, E218 and E122.
