Viscotears Liquid Gel
What is Viscotears Liquid Gel?
Viscotears Liquid Gel is a type of eye gel used to treat dry eyes by providing long-lasting lubrication. It is formulated to alleviate discomfort caused by dry eyes and is particularly useful for people who need a thicker, more viscous solution for prolonged relief.
How the gel works
The drops contain the active ingredient Carbomer 980 which is a gel-forming polymer that increases the viscosity of the solution, providing sustained lubrication and moisture to the eyes. The gel is thicker than typical eye drops, which helps it stay on the eye's surface longer, reducing the frequency of application. The gel also forms a protective film over the eye, keeping it hydrated and protecting it from further irritation.
How to use Viscotears Liquid Gel
Using the gel is simple and straightfoward:
- Wash your hands to prevent bacteria getting into your eyes.
- Tilt your head backwards.
- Gently pull down your lower eyelid.
- Hold the tube close to your eye without touching it.
- Squeeze a small amount (about a drop) of the gel into the pocket you have made using your lower eyelid.
- Close your eyes and blink a few times to help the gel spread over your eye.
- Repeat for your other eye if needed.
Contact lenses
If you are a contact lens wearer, make sure you remove contact lenses before applying Viscotears Liquid Gel and wait at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.
