What is Blephaclean Eyelid Wipes?

Blephaclean eyelid wipes are pre-moistened, sterile wipes designed for the daily hygiene of eyelids and eyelashes. They are used to clean and remove debris, crusts, and secretions associated with conditions like blepharitis (inflammation of the eyelids) and dry eyes. These wipes are suitable for people with sensitive skin and are often recommended by healthcare providers for maintaining eyelid hygiene.

Blepharitis symptoms

There are two types of blepharitis:

  • Anterior Blepharitis:Affects the outside front edge of the eyelid where the eyelashes are attached. Often associated with bacterial infections or dandruff of the scalp and eyebrows.
  • Posterior Blepharitis:Affects the inner edge of the eyelid that touches the eyeball. Often associated with dysfunction of the meibomian glands in the eyelids.

How to use Blephaclean Eyelid Wipes

Using the wipes is simple and straightfoward:

  1. Wash your hands to prevent bacteria getting into your eyes.
  2. Close the eye you are cleaning
  3. Gently wipe the eyelid and eyelashes from the inner corner to the outer corner. Use a fresh part of the wipe for each pass.
  4. Repeat on the other eye using a new wipe if necessary.
  5. Dispose of the used wipe in a trash bin. Do not flush it down the toilet.
  6. There is no need to rinse your eyes after using the wipe.
  7. To prevent blepharitis and other infections perform this daily.

Contact lenses

If you wear contact lenses you should remove them before you use the wipes.

To help treat your blepharitis you should also:

  • Regularly clean your eyelids can help manage symptoms and prevent flare-ups. You can use Blephaclean eyelid wipes to clean your eyelids.
